Show Horse Division

Rehabilitation Program
Rehabilatation of injured show horse and racehorses. Riverdee accepts a small number of select horses that have suffered injuries that require rehab. Our focus is on late-stage rehab. Bringing the horse from stall rest to the show ring or racing. We work carefully with the individual's vet to develop an exercise program that suits the horse. With constant monitoring and a very consistent work program, we have successfully brought injured horses back to winning races and winning championships in the show ring.

Not just racehorses
In addition to selling and managing flat and steeplechase horses, Riverdee Stable's has developed a show horse division headed by Anne Kontos Clancy who trains and competes horses purchased off the track or sent for training. Clancy produces horses for showjumping and eventing. Her youngsters have competed successfully at the Hampton Classic as well as the Rolex Kentucky 3-day Event. Classically trained by Olympic medalists Tad Coffin and Jimmy Wofford in eventing and Joe Fargis in show jumping, Clancy uses a systematic approach through flatwork, gymnastics and riding cross-country to transition the youngsters mentally and physically to their new careers.

Kissin Conquest

Image

7-year-old, 16.1 hands, bay Thoroughbred by Kissin Kris. Raced on the flat, finishing third and fourth on the turf at Pimlico and Colonial Downs. He ran three times over jumps as a 3-year-old but was not as precocious as his peers. His careful nature, extreme intelligence and ardent work ethic made it possible to transition from steeplechasing to show jumping. He’s a lovely mover with excellent form over fences and an endearing personality. He was successfully shown in 2009 by Anne Clancy with numerous ribbons in the Level 2 and 3 jumpers at the Virginia Spring Premiere, Loudoun, Hits Culpeper and Virginia Summer. He will be an excellent children/adult jumper with mileage.

Border Agent

Image

6-year-old,17.2 hands, bay Thoroughbred by Pancho Villa. Winner on the flat at Lone Star Park, Border is a big beautiful horse with tremendous scope. He’s often mistaken for a Warmblood due to his size, nature, and bone. He was successfully shown by Anne Clancy and Joe Fargis in 2009 with top placings at the Virginia Spring Premiere, Loudoun, Hits Culpeper and Virginia Summer. Suitable for an amateur or professional and ready for Florida 2010.

Just Blue

Image

6-year-old, 16.1 hands, grey Thoroughbred by With Approval. Blue raced on the flat at Fair Grounds, with only two starts before moving on to his next career. A natural jumper from day one, he seems to have found his niche. Jumps in classic form, loads of scope, beautifully balanced, lovely mover and of course, grey. Started showing at the end of 2008 and has quickly moved into the level 3 jumpers with multiple top ribbons at “A” shows. Shown successfully in 2009 by Anne Clancy at Virginia Spring Premiere, Upperville, Loudoun, Hits Culpeper and Virginia Summer. Blue has the style for the hunters and the scope for the jumpers.

A Partner

5-year-old, 16 hands, bay Thoroughbred, by Partner’s Hero. A winner on the flat, he was sent to Riverdee Stable for training and sales by Suzanne Moscarelli of Country Roads in Maryland. Quickly transitioned from a race horse to show horse. His extreme athleticism and disposition caught the eye of Joe Fargis who sold him to his top Amateur rider Tracey Weinberg who has successfully shown him in 2009 at Palm Beach, Atlanta, Kentucky Spring, Upperville and HITS Culpeper in the level 2 and 3 jumpers.
